The Rogue House of Spirits in Newport, Oregon opened for business on June 10th, 2006! Distiller John Couchot is teaming up with Rogue Brewmaster John Maier to produce Rogue Gin, Wasabi Vodka, and Cherry Vodka. The House of Spirits will feature fine wines, outhouses, lottery, cheeses from Rogue Creamery, apparel, beer to-go, hand made root beer, and of course, our very own Rogue Spirits, artisan distilled on premise!

Rogue Spirits - Hazelnut Spice Rum
Toasted Hazelnut flavor with orange overtones and rich vanilla scents mingled with cinnamon and clove. Made from toasted Oregon Hazelnuts, Orange peel, Madagascar Bourbon Vanilla Bean, Cinnamon, and Clove.

Rogue Spirits - Dark Rum
Deep amber in color. Toffee, stemmy oak, and nutmeg aromas... sweet and sour medium-bodied palate with toffee, roasted nuts, and spice. Finishes with a nutty, spicy fade and peppery alcohol.

Rogue Spirits - White Rum
Clear with a faint straw cast. Jumbled cotton candy and lower alcohol aromas are prosecco-like. A soft brisk entry leads to a dryish light-to medium-bodied palate with butter cream and peppery spice flavors. Finishes quickly with a hot, peppery, vanilla fudge fade. An unusual assortment of flavors that might add a radical twist to conventional cocktails.

The legend begins in New Orleans, where the Bulleit family emigrated from France in the 1700s. Around 1830, Augustus Bulleit moved from New Orleans to Louisville, Ky., taking with him his talent for brandy making. As a tavern keeper in Louisville, he began producing small batches of bourbon. After more than a century, the family returned at last to bourbon making. In 1987, Tom Bulleit fulfilled a lifelong dream by reviving his family's ancestral distilling enterprise using the original recipe of his great-great-grandfather.

After the Cuban government nationalized the tobacco farms, my father, Carlos Toraño, took his passion for tobacco to the Dominican Republic. Still today, growers in the Dominican Republic credit my father with introducing the Cuban seed to the Dominican Republic and teaching the farmers there how to grow what is today known as Piloto Cubano. After my father’s early and untimely death, I continued the family business, but expanded it to growing in Nicaragua, Mexico and Ecuador.
